Montreal West Town Hall was constructed in 1910 and is the location of the Town’s Municipal Office. The Town Hall is also the meeting place for long-standing organizations such as the Montreal Westward Rotary Club and the Horticultural Society. There are two reception halls in the building that can be rented for weddings or other occasions. For information on renting these halls, please call the John A. Simms Community Centre at 514-484-6186.
As required by the law, the Town of Montreal West has adopted a contract management policy that will apply to both the Town’s elected officials and managers on the one hand, and to its contractors, suppliers and future bidders on the other hand, starting January 1st, 2011. The purpose of this policy is to establish guidelines and safeguards in order to promote and protect transparency and fairness in the contract awarding process. The objectives stated in article 3 of the policy are precisely those which are mandated by the legislator, and they are implemented in a series of provisions that follow.
Starting April 1st, 2011, all contracts awarded after that date and which costs exceed $25,000 will be listed on the website of the Electronic Tendering System (Système électronique d'appels d'offres or SEAO) of the Quebec Government, in compliance with the Cities and Towns Act. Hereafter you will find a general link to the SEAO and a hyperlink leading to the list of contracts of the Town of Montreal West.
